Assalamualaikum, everyone!
How’s everyone doing? I hope everyone is doing good.
I'm not. π
But we can save that story for later.
Is anyone still getting updates from this blog?
Do people even read blogs anymore?
I have no idea but I felt like writing today, so here I am.
Now, can you believe it’s been 14 years? It has been over a decade since we sat for SPM. And even longer if we go back to when we first met in Form 4—2009, to be exact.
Time flies, doesn’t it?
Over the years, we all branched out into different fields. I think the majority of us ended up in accounting. Not really sure about everyone else but Tipah for sure did! π I mean, how could she not? I’m pretty sure all of us "borrowed" her book back in school—passing her book around during recess like it was an actual group study session. π
To be honest, I had no clue what was going on when we first started Prinsip Akaun. I think the entire class except Tipah and Farhana flunked the mid-term!
But by the second year...the second year...... well, let’s just say I went from no clue to Tipah who?
But hey, I think we all managed to pass Akaun in SPM. From what I recall, nobody failed. Not that I know.
Looking back now, it really wasn’t that big of a deal, was it? Whether we get an A or not for a certain subject.
Well, it matters if you are applying for scholarship. but not like its so big that you cannot move forward in life if you did not get an A for it.
Compared to adulting (aka us now), SPM feels like a tiny blip in our teenage years. For me, yes, SPM mattered, but not as much as I thought it would.
Adulting though? PHEW.
Now, that’s another story. It feels like being in American Ninja Warrior where you passed an obstacle then—boom—next level, more obstacles, and even tougher ones. And for what? To what end? Honestly... death? (Okay, maybe that got a little dark, but you feel me, right?)
What about you guys? How are you adulting? At what phase do you think you are at now? Are you at the place you once dreamt about back in the day?
As for me..... life's been a roller-coaster, and honestly, I’m kinda chilling at the bottom right now trying to figure things out.
But that’s life, right? The ups and downs are all part of it. Anyway, would love to hear what you all have been up to and how you’re navigating adulthood. Let’s catch up soon—whether it’s through posts here or a proper reunion. Till then, take care! π«
Lots of love,
- ami
